The UCF Complex Adaptive Systems Laboratory is an interdisciplinary research group dedicated to the study of complex, difficult to understand phenomena such as the global economy, innovation ecosystems, and social & cultural evolution.

The UCF Complex Adaptive Systems Laboratory has current research projects on Innovation Ecosystem Simulation & Modeling, Business Incubation & Impact Analysis, Zika Vector Population Dynamics, Retention and Graduation in Higher Education and Optics & Photonics Industry Clusters.

What are complex adaptive systems?


UCF MS in Data Analytics

CAS Lab director Dr. Ivan Garibay is the Program Director for the UCF Master of Science (MS) in Data Analytics program. MS in Data Analytics is an interdisciplinary program that prepares students to develop algorithms and computerized systems to facilitate the discovery of information from large amounts of data.

The MS in Data Analytics requires a total of 30 credit hours beyond the bachelor’s degree and can be completed in just 5 semesters or only 20 months. It utilizes Face to Face instruction and offers convenient evening and weekend classes.
